PU foam is a porous elastomer obtained by cross-linking with a specific water-soluble resin, which has a strong water-absorbing capacity due to the hydrophilic nature of its molecular structure. The foam is different from ordinary amylin sponges in that it is extremely hydrophilic, with capillary phenomena arising from the crisscrossing of microscopic pores, giving rise to superior water absorption and retention properties.
